TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I'm committed to giving back to the community where I grew up. Following that, I want to be a teacher who can assist students in learning more efficiently. As a result, technology should be used in education to keep up with the latest technologies and improve teaching effectiveness. I am not only going to teach the students about the subject, but also about manners, behaviours, and duties, among other things. For the development of future generations, regardless of race, religion, or nationality, in order to create a better country and world. As a result, the lives of the children will be bettered.

TEACHER PHILOSOPHY

Malaysia Teacher Education Philosophy is an ongoing effort to continue producing noble teachers with scientific and progressive perspectives who are ready to uphold the nation's aspirations and respect culture, ensure individual growth, and preserve a united, democratic, progressive, and disciplined society.

NATIONAL EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

 

Education in Malaysia is an ongoing effort toward further developing the potential of individuals in a holistic and integrated manner, so as to produce individuals who are intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and physically balanced and harmonious based on a firm belief in and devotion to God. Such an effort is designed to produced Malaysian citizens who are knowledgeable and competent, who possess high moral standards, and who are responsible and capable of achieving a high level of personal well-being as well as being able to contribute to the harmony and betterment of the family, the society and the nation at large.

INTRODUCTION

 

🌺 WELCOME TO E-PORTFOLIO SBI 3013 BLOG 🌺 

SBI 3013 Information and Communication Technology in Biology is a crucial course that exposing students to the world of information and technology in education. There are several assignments that should be completed in this course such as Smart School, Data Logger, Stella Simulation, Graphic Design, and Video Editing. 

SMART SCHOOL

Smart School is a learning institution that reconstructs systematically teaching-learning and school management in order to prepared students for the information age. It is a Malaysian education system. 

DATA LOGGER

The data logger is an electronic device that records data over time or in relation to location either with a built-in instrument or sensor or via external instruments and sensors. Increasingly, but not entirely, they are based on a digital processor (or computer). 

STELLA SIMULATION

A simulation system is the operation of a model in terms of time or space. It helps to analyze the performance of an existing a proposed system. The simulation also a process of using a model to study the performance of a system. It is consists of animation and visual products that allowing us to easily see what happening in a process as time progresses. Simulation is very easy and attractive to adapt. It also might consider changing the real process. So, one of the software that can be downloaded to see simulation is Stella Software. This software helps in teaching by giving students the ability to predicts a result. The students also can see quick results in a system if any parameter is changed. 

GRAPHIC DESIGN

In this assignment, we have to make a blog header by using Adobe Photoshop Software as thought by our lecturer, Mr. Azmi Bin Ibrahim. We can capture any photos of the scenery around our home. After that, the photos will be combined by using Adobe Photoshop and the photo will be used as a header in our blog.

VIDEO EDITING

For this assignment, we should record videos with a duration of not more than 30 seconds. We are free to choose any theme or scenery to build up this video. 

E-PORTFOLIO BLOG

In this blog, there will be all of the assignment which has been mentioned above. A resume about myself also will be provided in this blog. This blog provided everything that I have been done in this course during this whole semester.

PHILOSOPHY

 

REFLECTION

 

SBI3013 (Information and Communication Technology in Biology) is the main subject I took for this semester. All the tasks given are quite challenging as there is some software that has never been used before. However, I feel very grateful and thankful to my lecturer, Encik Azmi Bin Ibrahim.  He is an excellent and dedicated lecturer and lot of knowledge I have learned throughout taking this subject. I am very thankful to be able to complete all the assignments given within the period set by our lecturers. After taking this subject, I was able to learn the techniques and ways to use the software. In addition, I would like to thank my classmates and my team members who have contributed a lot to help me complete the assignments that have been given.

The learning condition when learning this subject in this semester is said to be quite challenging as it conducted online. The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the country is now causing learning and teaching sessions to be conducted online. All discussions with group members are also conducted online. Therefore, this matter is said to be a new experience for me in studying this subject. Although our movement is limited, the passion for learning remains high within us.

In this course, all students must complete all five assignments given by the lecturer. Three of them are group assignments and the other two are individual assignments. Task 1 (Smart School), Task 2 (Data Recorder), and Task 3 (Stella Simulation) are grouping tasks while Task 4 (Graphic Design) and E-portfolio (Blog SBI3013) are individual tasks. There is a lot of knowledge that I have learned in this course. All this knowledge will help further in improving my ability in using technology and this is one of the best experiences I have had this semester. Learning to explore software during this course can be used in school. This can also be added as my self-worth for the future.

The use of ICT in schools is very important and inevitable. This is because it is very important for teachers to introduce to students about other methods as a medium of learning in education. Teachers should be creative in conveying information to students and the use of ICT and this is one way to attract students in teaching and learning sessions. Once again, I would like to thank Sir Azmi bin Ibrahim and all my dear friends who helped me a lot in completing group assignments and helped me in completing individual assignments. I will use all the knowledge taught to the best of my ability.
